About self-positioning..

from weibo @LUAN二

About how to build your self-positioning, I did some research, the experts mentioned that “the first stage is finding your self-worth orientation, which refers to the individual self-worth orientation or choice and self-worth, decided the man pointed to a particular object (including itself) and social behaviour in specific situations, and people around the world and as the object of the relationship between self and others, is also decided by its value orientation and value condition.”

On the external environmental pressure under the condition of relatively stable, a kind of attitude and behaviour consistency between high and low, or the size of the effect of specific behaviour, depends on the attitude of how to moderate, namely whether the attitude itself in the centre of the personal value system, whether the individual has special important meaning.

In other words, when people have a clear self-positioning, they are not affected by the environment. On the contrary, their self-positioning is not obvious, but they are easily affected by the environment and often change.

It is very personally, different people have different background, people at different level of education have different expectations for their future development. For example, a graduate student from a famous university has higher expectations for finding a job than an ordinary university graduate, and the high background determines the choice and status of self-worth, so they after graduation to find a job when high expectations of myself, hope to find a job is perfect in every aspects, however, they didn’t have any work experience, has no job resources. As a result, because there is no find a high-paying job, in a small company and wasted their learning background, daily lamented the reality of the society. But that’s just a few people who do not have a clear self-positioning.

This is also due to the blurring of cognitive boundaries.

About survey and my opinions

At the beginning, I always focus on the drinking culture, depending on the culture and education level of the region, people have very different views of non-alcoholic people. Some people who like drinking cannot understand why non-drinkers reject alcohol culture so much. They believe that drinking can not only help them relief social barriers, but also relax themselves. Therefore, I interviewed some friends who do not like drinking about, and what would they do if they need to drinking in some necessary occasions, refuse or compromise.

Some people who are allergic to alcohol, or need to drive, can say no, because they must refuse, drinking is dangerous for them, and everyone can understand, but other non-alcoholics can say no a little harder, so it can sometimes change their position or view depending on the situation. But there are also those who are more powerful, or who have no scruples, who have a clear idea of their own and will stick to their position and opinion, so I develop my theme to self-positioning.

I have done some surveys about these, which show that some people change their views and positions in situations where they can not resist, even if they think they have a strong opinions and do not change their position easily. But now that society is becoming more and more assimilated, people are following the trend, and they are listening more and more, and they are changing their original position. Personality gradually becomes difficult to maintain, and commonality becomes universal, according to the questionnaire, 30% of people think they are just mediocre. And 70% – 80% of the people said that they will change their position depend on different situation, which show that it is also common to change yourself depending on the situation.

I think my stakeholders are people who have not clearly defined themselves. So sometimes they do not know exactly what they want, they confused which one is right, they are also afraid to lose what they have now, for example, some of the student who recent graduates, someone who want to change the job, and so on.

How to stick to one’s position and view in the environment full of temptation and threat?

Convergent social status quo.

According to the video, the orange juice ice stands for non-alcoholic people, and the plate represents an equal social environment. Let ice of different properties melt in the same equal space, and see if different amounts of alcoholic and non-alcoholic blend. For example, when a drinker and a non-drinker are in a social environment, they do not interact with each other, or do not influence each other. But when one part has more than the other, the part with less will be affected and even change the nature. So, in the end, I think it is because the social environment is affecting people.

Like I mentioned before, in China, drinking culture is an important element in daily life and business life. Good drinking can be a boost to success, more than 90 percent of the successful business is in the dinner. There is a famous saying in China, ” If you think we are good friends, drink it all. If you only drink a little, we are not good friends,” which also represent the important of drinking. So, if non-alcoholic does not want to drinking, they may lose the chance. Sometimes, because of the social environment, we have to give up our views and position.

Take marriage for example, in China, when girls reach a certain age would be parents urged hurry get married, these parents will think if too old are not married, their girls would became an older women without married, and, the most important thing is, in this age, you around most of the girls are married, so you also important follow the pace of this most to do the same thing. Therefore, most girls will choose to get married just because they have reached the stage where everyone wants to get married, even if they do not want to get married, or the husband may not be the one they love.

In conclusion, we will be affected by the convergent of social status, so as to change our views or positions. Sometimes, this social status may give you some successful advice that can tell you which direction is right, the reason why it is a phenomenon means that there are indeed many successful cases. On the other hand, it is because that you do not have an obvious goal or psychological expectation. And successful cases in the temptation to you, the potential unknown in the threat of you.

Different Drinking Culture in east and west

East:

China: As a communicative tool, the Chinese drinking culture lacks scientific and systematic theoretical analysis and evaluation of the wine itself, and pays more attention to the wonderful effects after drinking. In business work, there are often some work dinners with leaders or partners. If you do not drink at this time, you will be considered not to respect others, or it seems that your sincerity in cooperation is not enough. Sometimes, the better the atmosphere at the banquet, the more likely it is to succeed in business. Drinking forms a tight network that many people find hard to get rid of.

“The Chinese wine board, a show of authority and obedience, a relentless power game”

Japan: They spend an average of 940 yen a day on alcohol. Izakaya is very popular in Japan. Japan is mostly influenced by ancient Chinese Confucianism “only wine, not chaos” has been regarded by the Japanese as a drinking norms. The Japanese pursued was a hazy and elegant, long and delicate fashion. There is a bizarre phenomenon in Japan, Japanese housewives think that men can’t go home immediately after work, they think that if a man does not have a drink after work, it is a sign of no future. So the first thing Japanese men do after work is go for a drink

Korea: Pay great attention to seniority, same like China and Japan.

West:the purpose of drinking is often very simple, drinking to appreciate the wine, drinking to enjoy the wine. At many opening ceremonies, or formal or informal gatherings, it plays a big role, with alcohol being an essential social bond for some and a sticking point for others. In daily work and life, people respect other people’s choices and do not encourage drinking.
